Pool Slip

Roadmap

What we are building, and what we never will

No dates on this page. One person builds this, and a public schedule is a promise that gets expensive to keep — we would rather show you the order than miss a month.

Next

The gaps that show up in a side-by-side comparison, and each one is small.

  • Service checklists per pool

Tasks you can tick off during a visit. A checklist item will never require a photograph.

  • Repair flag

Raise a repair against a pool with photographs and a note. Repairs are where the margin is.

  • Equipment records

Pump, filter and heater — make, model, serial, install date, warranty, photographs.

  • Chemical cost per dose

One field on the rules table, and it turns chemical tracking into per-pool profitability.

  • Route mapPro

The day’s stops in the order you will drive them. Offline tiles on paid plans; online-only on Free, degrading to the stop list rather than a grey void.

After that

Bigger pieces. Quoting, invoicing and taking payment sit at the top because they are how a free tier stays viable — we earn when you get paid, rather than charging you per pool.

  • Quotes and invoicingPro

From a repair flag to a quote to an invoice. This is how the free tier pays for itself.

  • Take payment from the pool ownerPro

Card and bank, settling directly to your own account. Always optional — the product works fully without it.

  • Xero and MYOBBusiness

    Connected properly, not a CSV.

  • SMS report deliveryBusiness

Prepaid packs on any paid plan, or connect your own Twilio account and pay your provider directly.

  • Alerts and exceptionsBusiness

Readings out of range, missed stops, unusual visit durations.

  • Customer portalBusiness

Service history and balances for your customers, per pool owner.

  • Saturation index

Proper LSI, probably by integrating with a chemistry vendor rather than becoming one.

  • Bluetooth meter integration

Starting with whatever our pilot operators actually own.

  • Shopping list

What to buy before tomorrow’s route.

Things we have decided not to build

These are positions, not gaps. They are here so you can hold us to them.

  • GPS tracking of people

The most owner-versus-technician feature in this category. Our buyer is the person doing the work. The route map draws your own day; it never reports your position to anyone.

  • A required photo per task

The single loudest technician complaint on record — “a picture of the skimmers, the Polaris bag, your net, your brush”. One photo per visit is the evidence floor and the ceiling stays yours.

  • Re-ordering your route

You know your route. We draw the order you already have and do not second-guess it.

  • AI phone receptionist

A growth-stage problem, and a recurring cost we would pass on to you.

  • Payroll, timeclock, point of sale

    Different businesses.

  • Inventory and van stock

Real for a ten-van operation, noise for a solo one.
